Perry Central School District
Literacy is everyone’s business in Perry, an agricultural community in western New York State. When kids go to the grocery store, the clerk may ask about their reading activity. Members of the Rotary Club volunteer at the school and help sustain the culture of reading throughout the town. Parents are involved.
St. Landry Public Schools
Results are important for every administrator—to ensure that their programs are addressing student needs as well as fiscal accountability requirements, producing a strong return on investment. St. Landry Parish Schools implemented myON in their after-school programs, funded by federal 21st Century Community Learning Center grants, to help meet both goals.
Montgomery County Public Schools
The leadership team at Great Seneca Creek Elementary School in Montgomery County prides itself on staying in front of innovation by trying out best practices and new resources. So when Library Media Specialist Lisa Norris first saw myON during Digital Learning Day a few years ago, she brought information back to her K-5 school, which has a growing number of English Language Learners.
Sturgis Public Schools
What began as a K-12 summer school trial in 2014 quickly became a district-wide, year-round implementation in Sturgis Public Schools. Superintendent Thomas Langdon considered myON to be “the missing link” in getting students engaged in about reading while helping them improve their skills. Today, district leaders report a clear correlation between usage and improved reading scores.
